Every year we are so grateful to all the people who take on a sporting challenge to raise money for the Animal Care Trust.
Whether it's the big one, all 26.2 miles of the Virgin London Marathon, or combining your running, swimming and cycling skills in the Virgin Active London Triathlon, there's plenty of sporting events throughout the year that you can be a part of to help raise money for the Animal Care Trust.

If you’ve already secured a place in any sporting event, including those listed above, we’d love for you to raise funds for the ACT and join our team of sporting heroes. Let us know you’re running for the Animal Care Trust and we’ll send you our fundraising pack. All you have to do is raise as much sponsorship as you can for our work supporting the Royal Veterinary College's wide range of activities aimed at improving animal health and care.

The British 10K London RunSunday 8th July 2012This event is perfect for those new to running or hoping to speed up their time. Taking in a scenic route through London, passing some of the capital's most historic and important landmarks, it really is a fun race to get involved with. To run with one of the Animal Care Trust's guaranteed places we ask you to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £50 and to raise £150 for our work. The Virgin Active London TriathlonSaturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd September 2012The ACT is excited to be able to offer this great event to our supporters for 2012. The event is not for the faint hearted with participants completing a swim, run and bike ride to support the Animal Care Trust's work. It may be a big undertaking, but if you decide to take on this challenge for us, the ACT team will be on hand to offer you support every step of the way. We'll give our best advice, much needed TLC and a really big cheer when the going gets tough.We ask for a non-refundable registration fee of £50 (inc VAT) and a minimum of £600 to be raised in sponsorship for this event. BUPA Great North RunSunday 16th September 2012The Great North Run is a half marathon that begins in Newcastle and ends in Gateshead. It's now the world’s second biggest half marathon, with a whopping 54,000 participants each September. Applying for one of the Animal Care Trust's guaranteed places in this iconic event is a great way to avoid the high competition for the places allocated through the ballott, which can fill up in days. In exchange for this amazing opportunity we ask for a non-refundable registration fee of £50 (inc VAT) and ask you to raise a minimum of £250 for The Animal Care Trust. Run to the Beat powered by Nike+Sunday 28th October 2012Run to the Beat powered by Nike+ is London’s Music Half Marathon, which provides live and recorded music around the course to inspire you as you run. The event starts and finishes at the iconic O2, Greenwich. Once again Run To The Beat will be teaming up with one of the biggest record labels in UK dance music – Ministry of Sound. The partnership will see the masters of dance music playing recorded music at seven different locations around the course. Virgin London Marathon 22nd April 2012 - now fullIt's one of the most famous races in the world and the ACT could help you be a part of it. Our Golden Bond (guaranteed) places could make your dream of taking on this challenge a reality.
