The ACT organises various fundraising events throughout the year for you and your pets to get involved in.

Dog Olympics - Sunday 14th October 2012

The Olympics and Paralympics will be over by October, but then it will be your dog’s turn! Join us for a fun family day out at Hatfield House where you can get involved in challenges with your dog such as Olympic-themed showing classes, agility trials, fastest scurry and much more, including activities for older and less active dogs (and owners!).

Udder Marathon - Sunday 8th July

Join us for an udderly fantastic fancy dress fun run in Cassiobury Park Watford, starting and finishing next to Cafe Cha Cha Cha, near the Shepherds Road entrance to the park. This event will raise funds for our Farm Project, run in conjunction with Farming For All, which aims to help vulnerable adults in the community.

With a 5 and 10K option you can walk, trot or gallop your way round the course in your fancy dress outfits. From cow horns to cow suits…be as bovine as possible! Last year saw a fantastic array of costumes including Marilyn Mooonroe, Big Mac and A load of old Bull. There will be a prize for the best outfit on the day as well as for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in both the 5 and 10k run and fastest team entry.

Entrants will start mooandering from 10am, with on the day registration open from 9.00 am. Please arrive early to collect your runner number.

Cafe Cha Cha Cha and the start line are a 5-minute walk from Watford Metropolitan Station or 25 a minute walk from Watford Junction mainline station.

To register for the event simply come along on the day between 9 and 9.30am. There is a £5 registration fee for individuals and £15 registration fee for a team (minimum 3 people) which is payable on the day. Once registered you will receive our registration pack with all the information you need to get you over the udderside of the finish line!
