RVC Lates
What are RVC Lates?
RVC Lates are an open-house evening event at the RVC London Campus. They are your chance to learn about exciting biomedical research and laboratory techniques and have a look around the UK's first and only specialist veterinary school. Our Anatomy Museum and award-winning Lightwell Cafe (complete with elephant skeleton!) are yours to wander around and discover what scientific research is all about. Recent Lates have included a dissection demonstration and a lecture from Dr Holger Volk on epilepsy in humans and animals.

The first ever Late is a roaring success!

Thursday 18th October saw the first ever RVC Late take place in collaboration with the Francis Crick Institute as part of Biology Week 2012. Nearly 200 members of the public descended upon the RVC for an evening of DNA extractions, zebrafish development and haptic pregnancy examinations. With a great write-up from the Hampstead and Highgate Express (check page 25), this event has given us all here at the RVC a great appetite for future Lates!
