Child Protection and Safeguarding
The Royal Veterinary College's Duty of Care
The RVC has a responsibility to safeguard and protect the young people who visit our campus, participate in our activities and apply to the College. We take this responsibility very seriously and as such, have recently re-written our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.

RVC Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy Statement
We have also produced a Safeguarding document for staff who work with under 18s on behalf of the College, but do not need to complete a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. This document outlines our current Child Protection policy, our duty of care and a code of conduct for staff to follow. By signing this document, staff members at the RVC have been made aware of their responsibility to protect the welfare of those children they come into contact with. This duty of care includes the handling of personal data concerning under 18s.
