RVC on Tour 2010
This September the RVC on Tour visited 11 schools across England and Wales. In a little under three weeks we ran information events in; Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Devon, Cornwall, Gwent, Cheshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Hertfordshire and Kent. This allowed us to meet a minimum of 686 interested students, parents, teachers and careers advisors which is fantasic.
Each event started with a presentation about the pathways available within the veterinary professions (Bioveterinary Scientist, Veterinary Surgeon & Veterinary Nurse). Following this guests had the chance to carry out practical activities from our state-of-the-art Clinical Skills Centre including; bandaging, gowning, gloving, using haptic technology and attempting a one-handed tie.There was also the opportunity for guests to speak one-to-one with current RVC staff, students and recent graduates.
