RVC Campus Tours (Camden & Hawkshead)
During the academic year we run regular tours of the Camden and Hawkshead campuses for prospective students, parents, teachers and careers advisors.
To see the dates that we currently have available for you to book a place on and for further information, please see RVC Campus Tours.
RVC Taster Courses
In 2013 we ran Taster Courses for Bioveterinary Sciences, Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Nursing. These courses will enable students to experience life as an RVC student first-hand.
BSc Bioveterinary Sciences: 2 Week Summer Research Placement
Each summer (June – August) we will be offering a limited number of Year 12 students, who are interested in the Sciences, the opportunity to support a number of research projects that we have running. For further information please see BSc Bioveterinary Sciences: 2 Week Summer Research Placement.
RVC Welsh Regional Centre: Farm Taster Week
The WRVC provides a farm health investigation service to vets and farmers in Wales. And this year you can apply for a week's worth of work experience (intended for students in the 16 -19 year old category who may be considering a career in the agricultural industry). The emphasis will be on those considering studying Veterinary medicine though other students may find the course of interest. To apply please complete the RVC Welsh Regional Centre: Farm Taster Week Application Form.
RVC on Tour
Each September, the RVC holds events across the country for prospective students, parents, teachers and careers advisors. These events are a fantastic opportunity to speak to current staff and students and find out more about the courses on offer and the career paths available in the veterinary field.
For dates, locations and reports from previous tours see RVC on Tour.
The College also attends numerous UCAS Conventions across the UK between March and July each year.
To see the Conventions that we will be attending in 2013 see UCAS Conventions.
University of London Information Days
The University of London Open Day will take place on 10th & 11th September 2013. This undergraduate Open Day will afford prospective students with the opportunity to gain an insight into what it would be like to study at the University of London. On these two days we will be manning a stand in Russell Square so you can ask us any questions which you may have about the RVC. NB: We will NOT open either campus up to visitors and/or run campus tours on this day. We ONLY man an exhibition stand at this event.
The Widening Participation Unit at the College runs a Student Shadowing scheme throughout the academic year. The scheme is designed for those who have had less exposure to Higher Education and would like to know more, and is aimed at pupils who attend non-selective, state maintained schools and/or have no family background of Higher Education.
Please see our Student Shadowing page for full details.
