Why choose to study at the RVC?
The RVC has a long history of welcoming international students. Whether you are coming here from Europe, North America or beyond, at the RVC you will find a close and supportive environment. Our friendly staff and students will help you adjust to your new city from the moment you arrive and be there for you until the day you graduate.
The RVC is the oldest veterinary college in the UK, and is at the forefront of innovation, theory and practice in the veterinary field. The College enjoys a prestigious reputation throughout the world, and the expertise of our staff is internationally renowned. As the first veterinary college in the UK to be accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association, our graduates benefit from the ability to practice throughout both the UK and the USA, and even further afield.
Our central London location allows students to truly experience the hub of UK life. So many cultures coming together in London make it an exciting and vibrant city in which to live and study. Close to transport links and in the heart of London’s academic community, as an international student at the RVC, you will certainly be able to make the most of your time in the UK.
"The school provides a world class education. The professors make the effort to get to know the students individually. They make time to see students if there is a problem or if a student would just like to talk. There is also the advantage of the university being AVMA accredited, which means there are no extra licensing exams to take"
Gail Henry, BVetMed Graduate 2010, USA.
UPDATE: BMAT requirement for non-EU international students
The RVC no longer requires non-EU international applicants to sit the Biomedical Admissions Test (BMAT) when applying to the Veterinary Medicine (BVetMed) programme.
Please note, since we no longer require the BMAT, there is no advantage in taking the examination. We will not be taking test scores into account for international students.
Why are non-EU international applicants not required to sit the BMAT?.
