How to apply
Application information for students (apart from North American students) applying to the Combined BSc/BVetMed programme (D101) can be found below.
It is not possible to transfer to the D101 programme from a degree programme partly completed at another university. Applications will not be considered from students currently on a degree programme unless they are in their final year and applying for graduate entry. No exemption is granted from any course component.
Information for North American applicants
UCAS
All students must apply via UCAS online - go to the UCAS website for further information. International and EU students may find the following introduction to the UCAS system helpful: www.ucas.com/students/nonukstudents/.
Deadline: 15th October for the following year’s entry (except students from North America).
You may list a total of five courses on the UCAS application form, but only four can be for veterinary medicine and science courses (D100 and D101). You cannot apply to both D100 and D101 at the Royal Veterinary College.
BMAT
You must register for the BMAT early, even though the actual test is not taken until after your UCAS application is submitted. See the BMAT entry requirements.
Deadline: 15th October for the following year’s entry (except students from North America).
NB: You may list a total of five courses on the UCAS application form, but only four can be for veterinary medicine/science courses (D100 and D101).
Students may not apply for both the BVetMed and Combined degree courses.
Repeat Applications
In view of the large number and high quality of new candidates coming forward each year, we are normally unable to consider more than one repeat application. Your previous application and accompanying documents/correspondence will be attached to your new application. Applicants who re-sit their A levels and re-apply are required to have achieved at least grades BBC including a grade B in Biology at first sit. Applicants re-sitting other qualifications should contact the Admissions Office for information about minimum grades required at first sit.
