Biography
Rafiqul gained a BSc in Biology and Chemistry. He began his career as a Laboratory Technician at Basildon Dairy foods, where he was heavily involved in quality control, chemical and microbiological analysis of products. In 1995 he joined Raines dairy as a senior technician where he engaged in similar duties as well as monitoring standards as part of GMP and GLP. During this time he also developed further skills in food chemistry and microbiology at Reaseheath College, Cheshire. In 2002 he was promoted to the position of Microbiology Laboratory Team Leader at Yoplait Dairy Crest which involved supervising a group of laboratory technicians.
He joined The Royal Veterinary College in 2005 as Departmental Technician in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences.
