Lucy McMahon

Lucy has been a Lecturer in Small Animal Medicine at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals (QMHA) since 2007. Recently her duties changed to focusing on post-graduate education and the Certifcate in Advanced Veterinary Practice.
Biography
Lucy qualified from The Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in 1999. She worked in a busy mixed practice in the New Forest for 3 1/2 years where she did predominantly small animal and equine work. She returned to the RVC in 2003 to complete a multi-disciplinary intership and subsequently a residency in Small Animal Medicine in the QMHA.
Lucy passed the ACVIM diploma examinations in 2007 and between 2007 and 2010 worked as a clinician in the QMHA working with residents and students seeing referral cases.
Teaching
Lucy's role within the RVC now predominantly involves marking both B and C modules for the RCVS CertAVP. Up until recently she was module leader for VN graduate diploma. She still takes an active role in giving CPD.
Clinical
Lucy now sees referral patients at a private referral practice in the south of England.
