Lucy has been a Lecturer in Small Animal Medicine at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals (QMHA) since 2007.
Biography
Lucy qualified from The Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in 1999. She worked in a busy mixed practice in the New Forest for 3 1/2 years where she did predominantly small animal and equine work. She returned to the RVC in 2003 to complete a multi-disciplinary intership and subsequently a residency in Small Animal Medicine in the QMHA.
Lucy passed the ACVIM diploma examinations in 2007 and since finishing her residency has worked as a clinician in the QMHA working with residents and students seeing referral cases.
Teaching
Lucy has recently taken on a teaching role. She lectures to undergraduate students on various Internal Medicine topics and she is also involved in communication skills teaching. She is module leader for the medicine modules of the RCVS CertAVP and also for the new VN graduate diploma.
