Lizza Baines

Lizza is a Lecturer in Diagnostic Imaging at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals (QMHA). She is an RCVS Specialist in Diagnostic Imaging and a European Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.
Biography
Lizza qualified from the University of Cambridge in 1990. After eight years in general practice, she returned to Cambridge as Resident in Radiology where she gained the RCVS Diploma in Veterinary Radiology in 2000. She became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in 2001 and took up the post of Clinical Radiologist at Cambridge on completion of her residency.
In 2004 she became an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging and moved to the Royal Veterinary College as Lecturer in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.
Teaching
Lizza teaches BVetMed undergraduates the principles of radiological interpretation. Particular interests include an appreciation of the need for traditional radiography in the light of the development of more advanced imaging modalities and a coherent approach to the use of diagnostic imaging. She also teaches interns and residents all aspects of diagnostic imaging.
Clinical
Lizza enjoys all aspects of diagnostic imaging, in particular radiological anatomy and imaging in oncology.
