Alison Langridge

Alison is a tutor in Veterinary Clinical Skills, teaching both vet and vet nursing undergraduates. She is also a Clinical Tutor for BSc and Foundation degree nursing students.
Biography
Alison qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2003 after five years in small animal practice. She then worked as a Head Nurse in a three branch mixed practice, a locum consulting nurse for the PDSA PetCheck Roadshow as well as a two week locum position at the RVC before joining the RVC permanently as a Clinical Skills tutor in November 2009.
Teaching
Alison's species of special interest is rabbits, particularly intensive care nursing and anaesthesia, as well as raising standards of owner education to promote welfare standards..
She is involved with delivering CPD about clinical and domestic rabbit care both for the RVC and independently, and has written several pieces about rabbit care, most recently for the Veterinary Nursing Times.
She is working with Mr Chris Seymour on an online CPD course for qualified veterinary nurses, which will teach medical and surgical care of rabbits through discussion boards and case based problem solving. She is also actively working towards integrating more practical rabbit skills and teaching into the Clinical Skills Centre and the Animal Handling OSPVE's for BVetMed 3.
