Penny Hudson

Penny is a PhD student in the Structure and Motion Laboratory. Her work involves examining the musculoskeletal anatomy, kinematics and kinetics of the cheetah.
Biography
Education
- (2007 - present) BBSRC and RVC funded PhD: Royal Veterinary College, University of London. " Structural and functional specialisation of locomotion in the cheetah (Acinonyx Jubatus)". Field work in in South Africa and Botswana. Supervised by Professor Alan Wilson and Dr Sandra Corr
- (2004 - 2007) BSc (Hons) Veterinary Science: Royal Veterinary College, University of London, UK. 2.i. Including the following projects:
- 2nd year - Mechanical properties of limb tendons in okapi.
- 3rd year - Functional anatomy of the giraffe and okapi.

Research
Penny is now doing a PhD supervised by Alan Wilson and Sandra Corr (Notiingham Vet School), entitled “The structural and functional specialisation of locomotion in the cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus)”.
