Julia received her MA in biological and medical illustration at Johns Hopkins University in 2009. Her Master's thesis, Visualising Quadrupedal Launch in Pterosaurs, gave her experience modeling locomotion in extinct animals and also brought her into contact with researchers at the RVC. She joined the SML in 2009 as our research group's Scientific Illustrator.
