Introduction

The Queen Mother Hospital for Animals (QMHA) based near Potters Bar, Hertfordshire was first established in 1986 and is one of the largest veterinary teaching hospitals in the UK.
The Queen Mother Hospital for Animals

The Hospital receives approximately 8,000 patients annually, that are referred from practices all over the country. This extensive and varied caseload provides an excellent basis for training veterinary and nurse undergraduates and postgraduates.

The QMHA is committed to providing referring practices and their clients with the highest quality service, in an efficient, effective and empathetic way using the most advanced techniques and equipment.

All clinical and non-clinical staff at the Hospital are dedicated to providing the best possible care for clients and their pets. Some of the leading people in their fields are part of the QMHA team and all take great pride in the level of highly specialised care they are able to offer.

The hospital works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and has staff on site at all times to receive emergencies. All services provide regular clinics.
