Admission and Discharge

Admission

It may also be necessary for your pet to remain in Hospital for one night or more in order for procedures to be carried out. If your pet is to be admitted to one of our Wards, we ask that no personal belongings (e.g. toys, blankets, etc.) are left with them. This is because they can get mislaid if they require washing at any time. We will also remove any collars to be replaced with a Hospital identification band.

Discharge

When your pet is well enough to go home, a convenient time will be arranged so that full discharge instructions can be explained to you. You will be given a discharge summary outlining what has happened to your pet whilst in our care and written instructions on aftercare. This sheet is also faxed or e-mailed to your referring Vet on the day of discharge and this is followed up by a full clinical Discharge Report to your Vet.
