This unique course is designed to help prepare Senior Clinical Training Scholars in their study for Specialty Board examinations and to provide a foundation for develoing clinical research skills. The MVetMed allows successful Senior Clinical Training Scholars to finish their residency with a Masters degree in addition to their Board qualifications.
The modular approach of the programme allows residents the flexibility to study around their other responsibilities; working alongside clinical training to produce graduates with the experience and expertise to succeed in academia, private practice or industry worldwide.
The course (to be completed over three years) is comprised of five compulsory core modules designed to enhance universally important skills such as critical analysis and communication; and five elective modules from a choice of many varied topics tailored specifically to Board exams. A structured research project is also included, which guides residents towards meeting the publication requirements of their Specialty Board examinations.
