BBSRC scholarships available for 2010/11!
We are pleased to announce that we have four BBSRC scholarships available for students undertaking the MSc in Veterinary Epidemiology in 2010/11. Students in receipt of these scholarships will have their fees paid for them and will receive a tax-free monthly stipend.

Why an RVC Masters/Diploma?
With the rapid movement of people around the world these days, disease can move much more quickly before and is harder to control than ever. In such a world, there is a growing need for veterinary epidemiologists, who stand on the front line of disease surveillance.
The UK leads the way in this training. In order to meet the demand for skilled professionals, the RVC has developed a unique course, combining the strengths of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in epidemiological principles and communicable disease epidemiology, and the RVC’s expertise in aspects of animal health and production.
Participants learn from veterinary epidemiologists and policy makers working at the heart of UK government. Students get valuable first hand experience the work of the UK Government Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and the Veterinary Laboratories Agency (VLA).
We accept graduates in veterinary science and veterinary medicine, as well as those with biology, maths or statistics degrees, because of the multi-disciplinary nature of veterinary epidemiology.
