MSc Veterinary Epidemiology

Why an RVC Masters?

With the rapid movement of people around the world these days, disease can move much more quickly before and is harder to control than ever. In such a world, there is a growing need for veterinary epidemiologists who stand on the front line of disease surveillance.

We are now taking applications for 2012 entry

The UK leads the way in this training. In order to meet the demand for skilled professionals, the RVC has developed a unique course, combining the strengths of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in epidemiological principles and communicable disease epidemiology, and the RVC’s expertise in aspects of animal health and production.

Participants learn from veterinary epidemiologists and policy makers working at the heart of UK government. Students get to learn from the valuable first-hand experience of Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency (AHVLA) staff.

Because of the multi-disciplinary nature of veterinary epidemiology we accept graduates in veterinary science and veterinary medicine, as well as those with biology, maths or statistics degrees,
