How do I apply?
The adverts for the recruitment of Junior Clinical Training Scholars and Senior Clinical Training Scholars appear in the Veterinary Record and on the Scholarships Available page. Adverts appear approximately 3-4 weeks before the closing dates, and for the majority of scholarships this is usually mid to late January/early February with interviews in late February/early March. Interested individuals are advised to watch our website or scan the Veterinary Record for opportunities.
All recruitment is handled through Human Resources.
Applicants should submit their application using the College's Electronic Application Form by clicking on the Apply Online button which can be found at the bottom of the relevant advert of the scholarship the applicant is interested in. For more information about how to apply online, please see the How do I Apply Online page.
Letters of recommendation will be requested automatically by the College once applicants have submitted the application form. It is important that applicants input their referees accurate contact details (including e-mail address) in the relevant section of the application form and that applicants inform their referees in advance to expect communication from the College requiring them to submit a letter of recommendation electronically. Failure to have the required letters of recommendation submitted by the closing date may affect the applicants application.
The following documentation below will only be required at interview stage. Therefore it is advised that applicants should request these documents from the relevant authorities in good time to ensure thatthey have obtained these documents by the date of their interview (if applicable):
- Copies of degree and any postgraduate certificates
- Certified transcript of undergraduate degree
Non-UK applicants should also provide at interview:
- Certified translation of non-UK transcript
- English Language test result (applicants should visit the Junior Clinical Training Scholarships or Senior Clinical Training Scholarships web-pages for detailed information relating to this requirement).
Applicants who are invited to interview will be required to bring with them original copies of the documents above
Note: we require a separate application for each scholarship you wish to apply for.
Short-listed applicants for all scholarships will normally be notified at least a week before the interview date.
Speculative applications should not be submitted.
