Royal Veterinary College appoints new Director of Clinical Services Division
1 July 2008
The Royal Veterinary College has appointed Graham Milligan MA Vet MB MRCVS as Director of Clinical Services Division, who will take up the position from Tuesday 1 July. Graham replaces Lynn Hill, who left the RVC in February 2008, and was previously Director of Veterinary Strategic Initiatives for Hill’s.
“I am thrilled to be joining the RVC at such an exciting stage of its development,” said Graham. “The RVC has a real sense of determination to lead the field in the delivery of teaching, research and above all the highest quality of care for animals and their owners.” Graham added: “I am looking forward to working with everyone in the clinical services division to ensure continued success.”
Graham was born in the Lake District and educated at The Manchester Grammar School. He qualified from Cambridge University Veterinary School in 1985. After four years in practice, predominantly working with companion animals, on the edge of North East London, he joined Hill’s in 1989. During his time at Hill’s Graham has enjoyed a varied career in increasingly high profile roles in technical affairs, sales and marketing, in the UK, North America and Europe, most recently as Director of Veterinary Strategic Initiatives for the Europe Middle East and Africa region. Graham has for many years been deeply involved in practice development and training initiatives designed to meet the needs of practicing vets and nurses, and has a keen interest in factors that influence clinic and owner compliance.
Graham is married with two sons, two dogs and a menagerie of pets, lives in North West Essex and enjoys taking part in triathlons.
