Advice for new postgraduate students
Postgraduate Taught Students
Unlike UK undergraduates, there is no mandatory funding available for UK taught postgraduate students. Home and overseas students need to ensure that they have secured sufficient funding for their fees and living costs before starting their programme.
Career Development Loans
Career Development Loans are available to all EU nationals. To qualify for a CDL you must be ordinarily resident in Great Britain (i.e. England, Scotland or Wales) and have an unlimited right to remain in the United Kingdom (UK). Further details are available at: Career Development Loans
Scholarships and Bursaries
There are few discretionary sources of Scholarships and Bursaries on our taught MSc programme.
If you are a new International student please also see International Postgraduates.
Also Postgrad Solutions are now offering 13 bursaries across a number of subject areas for 2012 entrance. Click here to apply http://www.postgrad.com/editorial/bursaries /
Postgraduate Research Students
The College offers about 10-25 fully funded scholarships a year for UK and EU Students funded from charities, research councils like the BBSRC, and College Funds. These are normally advertised in January every year although various scholarships do become available throughout the year and our website should be checked regularly for availability.
We welcome applications from overseas students in receipt of scholarships from their governments or other bodies or from self-funded students able to support their studies.
