Flexible Working Scheme
Reductions in public spending announced by the Government are likely to mean the College's income from public sector funding streams will decline year on year until 2013/2014.
Following an announcement by the Principal's, a number of measures were taken to reduce expenditure and generate income.
The options for staff to assist the College in achieving expenditure reductions included the opening of a voluntary severance and early retirement scheme for a fixed period in addition to a range of flexible working options. The Voluntary Severance and Early Retirement scheme closed on 31 January 2011, however the flexible working options remain open to staff and provided the opportunity for staff to apply for:
- A reduction in hours
- Job sharing
- Leave purchase
- Unpaid leave
