The Royal Veterinary College aims to improve animal and human health by leveraging our leading basic, interdisciplinary, translational and clinical bio-veterinary research programmes.

RVC is now ranked as the England’s best school in the Agriculture, Veterinary and Food Sciences classification, with over 55% of our academics viewed as producing ‘world class’ and ‘internationally excellent’ research (RAE 2008). RVC is ranked in the top 5 English higher education institutes in terms of business research income per FTE academic staff.

Reception area in the Queen Mother Hospital for AnimalsThe newly redeveloped Queen Mother Hospital for Animals is the largest of its kind in Europe, receiving over 8,000 patients each year. RVC is uniquely positioned to translate basic findings into the clinical setting.
