Surgical Suite
The surgical suite consists of an orthopaedic theatre, a colic theatre and theatre for standing surgery. The theatre for standing surgery theatre can be used for standing laparoscopic procedures and laser treatment.

Examination Rooms
The Equine Referral Hospital has three examination rooms with stocks for performing procedures such as gastroscopy, ultrasonography and ophthalmic examinations.
Lameness Examination Facilities
The Equine Referral Hospital has an all weather arena to enable gait assessment both in hand and under saddle. In addition a trot-up runway and hard slip-resistant lunge surface are available.
High Speed Treadmill Examination
The Equine Referral Hospital has available a high-speed treadmill to facilitate investigation of upper respiratory tract disorders and poor performance.
Hospital Accommodation
Horses are accommodated according to their needs. The Equine Referral Hospital offers intensive care boxes to adult horses and to foals, in addition to providing padded accommodation with sling supports for horses with neurological deficits. Furthermore, there is separately located isolation unit for horses with suspected contagious diseases.
Lorry parking
Lorry parking is adjacent to the hospital buildings and a loading ramp is available, as are our Equine Technicians to assist with loading and unloading horses as required.
Refreshments
The Eclipse Café is open 8am until 4pm each day for refreshments and the Refectory is open 8am until 6.30pm.
