About Us

The Beaumont Sainsbury Animal Hospital (BSAH) is a modern hospital with a history of caring. Having opened as a small animal teaching hospital in Camden, London in 1932, it was the first of its kind, offering facilities and medical care previously not available for pets.
The BSAH is everything you would expect from a leading veterinary hospital. Fully accredited under the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Practice Standards Scheme , we offer a full range of services for your dog, cat, rabbit, reptile, bird or other small animals from preventative health care to life saving operations.
Our dedicated team of vets and nurses are passionate about providing the very best care and each has a special interest in medicine, surgery, imaging and exotic species.
As a teaching hospital for the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), veterinary students in their final year of studies observe and participate in consultations, under the close supervision of our veterinary staff. We are also a designated Training Practice for the College of Animal Welfare (CAW) providing placements for trainee veterinary nurses.
Our veterinary students are involved in all aspects of hospital activity, which means that our staff ensure they are well versed in the latest research and treatment options both for your pet's care and teaching purposes!
All students are under the strict instruction of our own experienced vets and registered nurses and student interaction with patients is supervised and guided by a qualified member of staff at all times.
If you have any questions about the role of students in our hospital, or want to know about training as a Veterinary Surgeon or Nurse, please ask a member of our team, or follow the link undergraduate studies
